The acquisition of Laparoscopic skills requires formal training, dedication, commitment, and constant practice. The focus of the IAGE journal is to share the experiences of various eminent surgeons and take important tips to improve surgical practice.

Fibroids are one of the common findings in women with Menorrhagia and account for about 25-30% incidence in women of the reproductive age group. Treatment options for fibroids are multimodal. The permanent cure is surgical removal. Laparoscopic myomectomy for fibroids is an interesting topic for discussion and involves great challenges with respect to the size, number, and location of fibroids. This issue of the journal has its focus entirely on fibroids. The aim of this issue is to widen the vision of various treatment options for fibroids and technical modifications that can be adopted to simplify laparoscopic myomectomy.

Controversial aspects like ligation of uterine vessels and devascularisation of uterus with its implications on future pregnancy, effect of adhesion barriers, interesting case reports have been discussed by various authors. This issue is aimed at covering all aspects of fibroids and treatment options for fibroids.

We encourage our readers to contribute their valuable experiences to the forthcoming issues of the journal. I thank the entire team for the untiring efforts to bring this issue out especially.
